i need some help we thought maybe gas was put into tractor so I drained and put new fuel. now tractor wants to start but will not. I also changed the oil but no start. does anybody have any idea what I can do?
I always recommend you check for restricted fuel delivery. Start at the tank outlet, (they have a strainer that can clog) then the inlet line to the fuel filter then the outlet from the fuel filter and then the inlet to the lift pump, the out let from the lift pump, and finally the inlet to the injector pump. (You want to go from the fuel source to the injector pump one step at a time in the order that the components are lined out. Some lift pumps precede the filter some come after the filter. They often have screens in them.) Some injector pumps have inlet screens so check for that also. Are you seeing "white smoke" when you crank the engine?
If so that's raw fuel. If you fuel delivery checks out, check the air filter for clogging. It takes fuel and air to start. Check the glow plugs to make sure they are getting powered.
Do these checks systematically and you should find the problem.
