If she is already saying that, YOU may not have a tractor to use very long. Congratulations on the new addition. Now you will be able to get a lot done.

Thanks! She can use it all she wants, more time for fishing in the pond for me! :D She also laid claim to the new Dodge in the background :( - 2500 Mega Cab Cummins with less than 700 miles on it - while I get the Toyota!

Very nice looking orange tractor... just need about 10 more. I think Soundguy has 11 on his 10 acres.

I always keep my eyes open for an old one to restore! We lived in Steamboat Springs, CO for the past 6-7 yrs and I loved the 4th of July Parade and all the really old tractors rolled in the parade! One of my old Navy flight instructors used to try to spot old JDs in the fields of FL and AL while instructing. He would then contac the owner and offer cash. I think he had about 12-15 old JDs when I flew with him!

Nice job Sean!

Too bad you got to "work" for a living. hehe ;) Property like yours and toys to boot make it easy to come home to.

Life's tough, but hey someone's got to do it. Enjoy it.

Looks like you couldln't fit anymore attachments on the trailer. You going back to buy more??

We have a drag harrow coming and will shortly get a 60" blade and PTO drive manure spreader. We'll probably get a fork lift attachment for the Woods 1009. More is better; most is best! :D

Very nice place & tractor. I notice you went with a Woods FEL. Was it cheaper than the OEM?

Nope, I think it was about $800 more, but worth it for the quick release bucket.

Yep, and tough to go to work! :( I'm now in Memphis to sit 19 consecutive days of reserve - and I'm #1 on the list tonight (I'll be in the rack in about 15-20mins!). My 3 yr old daughter climbed up on the tractor when she got home from day care and told momma "I'm going to fly this way up in the sky to be with daddy!" Its always tough to leave, no matter where we live! :(

Seeing those pictures reminds me of the day my L3000DT arrived, although the weather was pouring rain when mine can home.

The first night I must admit that I put a coat of wax in it before it moved out of the barn. It looks like you have the perfect place to put a few hours on it pretty quick.

I am confident you will find many hours of pleasure on the seat of that beauty. One word of caution don't let your wife get too comfortable running the tractor of you many not get to use it as often as you like.

Randy

I want to get comfortable using it, since I'm gone 2 weeks each month. I don't want too many jobs waiting for me when I get home!

We also have a hired hand who puts in about 8 hrs each week at our place helping out and I want him to get some time too. Of course, they both know that they will have to fight me for seat time while I'm home!:D

Yo, MD11Fr8Dog,
On rsv in MEM. That blows. I'm assuming that you work for Fred. So do I. Left seat of the 727. I live in BNA now, and the lack of commute is great. Let me know how you like your Kubota, I'm getting ready to get the 5030 soon for my property, and all the input I can get is appreciated.

Yep! Heck, I hardly have a half hour on it. I'm currently in CGN, enjoying a 4 day weekend layover - plenty of german beer over a long St Patty'd Day weekend!:D I should get back into the Planet on Monday night, and get 48hrs off (and enough leveling to not get called my last 3 days) - I'll be home before 800a on Tue!

As soon as I get some seat time, I'll let you know my thoughts. Momma loves it!

Congratulations on the tractor and equipment! I used a Fred Cain Agri-Cutter with my BX22 - a 4 ft model. In fact I still have it and need to sell it! It was an amazingly tough unit.
ENJOY!
