Loader My loadeer seems to be a little weak

dfkrug, no hills. It is all flat ground. I AM debating about replacing all 4 cylinders and then rebuild the 4 I have for spares. But again that will happen in spring unless it craps out totally this winter.

Instead of replacing cylinders, just remove them and take them to a hydraulic shop for rebuilding.

From the pump pressures you posted, I would be rebuilding the cylinders before thinking about touching the pump. You can buy better seals for the cylinders for about $15/cylinder and do it yourself, if you have the wrenches to get the cylinders apart.

The kits from the dealers are far more than $15. If you can spec out each seal separately you can get them cheaper at a hydraulic shop, but you have to disassemble it to take the seals to them.

This is true, I ordered my seals based on sizes listed in the kioti forum and they were a higher quality than what came in the kits. I got them from Martin Fluid Power back in 2010.

Yeah, seals were a LOT cheaper back then. I often used Hercules Fluid Power back then and purchased by size.

Recently I repaired some old Kubota cylinders and the maker wanted $200ea for the seal kits. Even Hercules was expensive, tho I got what I needed for $100ea.

Kioti dealer says there are two seal kits per cylinder and they are $85.oo AND $50.oo total $135.oo each cylinder plus 13% tax and freight. That'll wait until spring.

To test if it is a cylinder is leaking you might want to try this, if you have a floor jack.
- Lift bucket up about 2 ft.
- Put floor jack under bucket and raise it all the way.
- With tractor off, lower bucket onto floor jack.
- Disconnect the hydraulic couplers going to the bucket cylinders.
- Lower floor jack and pull it out of the way.
If the bucket lowers, there is a good chance the cylinder seals are leaking.
If the bucket does not lower, there is a good chance issue is in the bucket control valve.
If the bucket does not lower, put the jack back under the bucket and take the weight off the cylinders BEFORE you try reconnecting the hydraulic couplers. Otherwise, don't try to reconnect the couplers until the bucket settles to the ground.

It is confirmed. I pick up the front wheels, shut the tractor off and 30 minutes later I am picking up the front wheels again.
I am going to send it to the hydraulic shop in spring and he can do all 4 cylinders.

Late to the party as usual....but what and how are the cylinders drifting?

Are they extending or retracting?

You are saying that if you leave the loader suspended....that it both drops the loader AND dumps the bucket.
1. The lift cylinders will now allow this to happen. Thats in the valve. As those cylinders are COMPRESSING....which CANNOT and WILL NOT happen unless fluid EXITS the cylinder
2. The curl cylinders are EXTENDING. This can happen either due to a valve OR the piston seals.

In your last scenerio....lifting the front of the tractor and not holding it in the air
1. The lift cylinders are now EXTENDING....which again...and EXTENDING cylinder can either be the cylinder seals OR the valves
2. The curl cylinders are now trying to COMPRESS. Which cannot happen due to seals. That indicates a valve.

So I am having a hard time following just what is going on.

It seems as if none of the cylinders will hold in ANY direction....either extension or retraction. Which points to a VALVE and not the cylinders.

Without more understanding or troubleshooting, I am afraid you are just going to waste your money rebuilding or replacing cylinders.
