Lawn is troublesome to say the least... I have a hilly, shaded property that does not lend itself to an expanse of turf.
My thought was to slowly remove the lawn and replace it with rock walls, moss gardens, water gardens, bogs, fens and waterfalls - hence the backhoe.
My horticultural interests lean to the extreme. How else could you describe a plot containing Saccharum arundinaceum (hardy sugar cane), cranberries, pitcher plants, musa basjoo (hardy banana) and various mosses? /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
So... In time there will be more of that and less of the lawn. My dream is to be able to mow the lawn with my push mower in 10 minutes. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif Right now it takes 3 hours with that old tractor (before it broke and I was forced to use the push mower). That will change in a hurry with a large pond.
Thanks by the way for your past posts on the snowblower, it helped influence my purchase. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
