sounds like the big q is how did you engage your pto with out knowing it.

I've done it just getting off the seat......just bumping it slightly with your butt will do it....

Speaking for myself, I bump this all the time when I exit off the left side of the tractor.

Thanks ....I checked every switch except the PTO lever.... It was engaged! That's a first for me.... Rookie mistake. Thanks for the suggestions.

BLAHAHAHAH!!! What a noob!!

J/K...I did the exact same thing a few months ago after owning my tractor for 6 years - duh. Mine was worse though, since I had a 3pt snowblower attached to it. I heard a strange "clunk" just as the motor stopped (lash in the PTO/blower, in retrospect). Hmmm...never heard that before...turned the key and nothing. Talk about panic...I had the PTO lever epiphany seconds before ripping apart the electrical system...dodged a bullet that time .
