My new farm truck

My neighbor's uncle's '99 Powerstroke had a leaking steering box seal. It WAS cheaper for him to replace the seal, but more labor. Now my uncle's neighbor had a GMC HD with a similar problem. He replaced the whole unit and thought it was easier.
Please post pictures of new truck. I'd like to see it.

Hi everyone haven't had much time to work on the truck tis week hopefully I get to work on it sum this weekend!



This picture here show where it is leaking out of the steering box! Can I replace the lip seal or do I need a new steering box?



This is also leaking I don't know what it dose! Its connected to the hydra boost! Is there a o ring in there that can be replaced?






Here are the boxes under the bed. One is missing the door! I'm going to call weather guard and see if I can just order a door latch and seal






Here is the rest of the truck I still need to paint the flairs where all the other stickers came off great the usdot numbers didn't and took off the paint! I've got a idea for that but I'll save that for another time! The bed needs paint too but I'm going to take the big box off of the side it has a lot of Rudy holes and I have no use for it! I'm thinking of taking the fuel tank off also an mounting under my gas stand so co op can fill it with diesel when they fill my gas tank! No more five gallon diesel cans!

Mainly use it around my place the fil and I are going to get a few cows so id like to get a stock trailer to pull and to pull my equipment to my relatives house to do work for them I know I can pull my new tractor with it for sure but the backhoe and 706 are still in question! My grandpa and I are restoring a farmall m for show so I'll be using it to pull it also to just a few local shows. Nothing farther than thirty miles!

Nice. Good to see the family works together. A good farm truck is great. We use mine to haul wood, Topsoil, mulch, moving, landscape work, etc. They are great to have and really come in handy. Great pics too.

Here's my new farm truck, $500. Didnt have a bed. Put that on myself. 1 ton, 4wd, has a gooseneck ball in a pocket. I can finally take my tractor off the homestead.
So far Ive just hauled fire wood.

Its getting better! I got the seal for the gear box and new inner and putter tie rods today hope I can put them on tomorrow!

So far Ive just hauled fire wood.

Wow...That looks like a nice truck considering it was only $500! Where did you find it?

A friend was going to fix it up, but found a newer one instead, so it became a parts truck, lost its bed... I needed an ugly for the homestead, he wanted to keep it in the "family" so I got a good deal. Found the flatbed on craigslist. Sweet old motor, carborated, runs like a top. Back seat full of all new parts to rebuild the front axel, I cant even tell there is anything wrong with it. I guess it was a rail way rig, probably has a billion miles. Perfect for my needs as is.
