My New Kubota ZD1211 Mower

So thanks for the review and feedback. I'm in the market for the same Kubota ztr but have heard the 72" isn't great with anything but flat ground. Do you notice that? Also, how different was the ride quality with the better seat on the 1511? I haven't been to the dealer yet because I am afraid I will buy one haha. I've bought lots of Kubota tractors from Normangee Kubota, did you price with them by chance? Not really in your part of the country but I am in central Texas. Thanks.

We have sloping terrain here but, nothing very steep other than the backside of our two dams. I’ve yet to see any downside of the 72” deck other than getting done earlier.

I believe that Rustyshakelford (Brett) bought his ZD at the dealer in Normangee. Maybe he’ll check in here soon?

I really liked the air ride seat on the ZD1511 but, I’m happy with the ZD1211 seat.

I bought from normangee and can’t say enough great things about them. They got me a RD in and I’ve been singing their praises since. I also wanted a brand new buggy that hasn’t been sitting out on the lot. Without hesitation they ordered me one in too. Great bunch of guys up there

I have been trying to decide between 60 or 72" ...

Keep in mind the 60" Deck doesn't stick out past the wide rear tires making it difficult to mow up under shrubs & fences.

Yeah. I love Normangee. Great to deal with and close to home. Thanks for the feedback. So it seems rear discharge is the way to go? I have two SD gravely ztr and get coated when the wind blows wrong. I think 72" would be great as I mow 3-4 acres.

OK, near Houston. Looks like in that area you could let trees and shrubs take over much of your grass.

I rode through your area 2-3 years ago (in April) and it was SO pretty, Bluebells everywhere.

That's why I might have him order one I like my 72" 331 just want rear discharge and mine has about 1600 hrs on it and knock on wood nothing but maintenance with it in 8 years.

I have a ZD1211 72" side discharge. For what its worth, I have mowed in 30 mph winds and have not had squat for grass blow on me. On my ZD28 with a 72" I used to get some on me. Must be the new flexible discharge chute is a better design than the big steel one.

Also I have mowed with a 72" for 13 years. you could not run fast enough to give me a 60".
