My new L4060 HSTC pics!

Pic of tractor at dealer this morning. Scheduled for delivery Monday.

second pic (crummy pic, poor light and cellphone) is of 3rd function valve hoses. Dealer is going to try to fab an angle plate that bolts to the "block" where the hard hoses become soft (on left in pic), and over to plate on right that already has a couple holes in it.

That pic looks below the tractor towards the back. John has some better pics, but this one shows the holes in the right bracket.

Third pic a little closer.

So no changes to tractor that cannot be undone. I will report how it goes.

Fourth pic is new third function button. Seems an awkward place for a button, will need to figure out something better. Stu, John, is this where the dealer put your new 3rd function button?

Are you sure that is a factory 3rd function?

Dealer put it in and my understanding was I was ordering the OEM stuff. Although the button itself looks sort of funky, like something just hose clamped on.

John, does your OEM 3rd function off/on button look like the pic? From looking at your pics, they look similar to me.

Mine is the same as what you have, along with the toggle switch to open/close the grapple.

Yep, that's the one.

Stu and John, are we the only l60's on TBN so far?

I looked at the 3rd function setup closer in person at the dealer.

Still think the lighted on/off button lower on lever looks surprisingly tacky for OEM but it is what it is.

I guess the newer grand L's come with a knock place on their FEL levers ready to install the rocker switch for the 3rd function. That part seems really clean.

to try to unhijack the thread topic, if anyone is torn between the l3560 and the l4060:

I noticed the spacing between the back of the front tire and the FEL couplings is approx an inch more on the l4060. To me that is a big plus.

Actually, when installing the 3rd function, the FEL grip gets removed and a new one is installed which has the rocker switch for the grapple.

I asked the dealer and the mechanic (at the same time) about that and they claimed with the latest ones like mine they pull off the old knob and knock out the placeholder and put in the rocker switch.

So far I have had no reason to doubt what the dealer has told me, but who knows.

The mechanic is not quite done with my new skidplate and since they are involved with the local state fair which starts today I told them if it needs to slide a couple days that is okay.

I rather not have them swearing at me while trying to rush to be finished tonight....

Either way I should be in the seat by Wednesday at the latest and moving a lot of dirt. I am really looking forward to putting my BB and RR to work while I decide the next implements to acquire (I am a toolhead.....)

Landscape rake, pallet forks and grapple probably next on the list.

So who's landscape rake, pallet forks and grapple are you considering?

I wonder if it may be different on the cabbed tractors??????
