Almost forgot the dealer gave me these nice pruners today. He had just got them from ups while I was there . And he knew I have just planted a bunch of peach trees 600 of them so he throw in some pruners .

It's an expensive service that's for sure 17 gallons of hydro in mine. Just wish I had been warned ahead of time I woke up on the floor in front of the parts counter after they told me the cost of fluids and filters :)

yeah the full service on the 7040s is high.we changed the oil on my 7040SU 2 months ago when it had 110hrs on it.i traded some kubota filters when i traded for the 7040SU.the oil alone cost $75.an i havent changed the hydro oil yet.now it has about 130hrs on it.n i traded for it in july 2013.

After changing the hydraulic oil on mine at 50 hours and filters I wouldn't want to delay that change the amount of metal fines on the filter magnets was borderline alarming. Did the filters again at 300 hours and still had a fair amount on the magnets but not nearly as much.

I'd also do the front axle as well if you haven't it I saw lots of shinny flakes coming out of mine.
