Re: My new \"Tak-Tak\"

John, are you keeping "show pictures" option "off" on your browsers? Some web sites will not show the pictures by "right clicking-and-show picture". Make "show pictures" option "on" and then reload the page. If still doesn't show the pictures, then strange. I can see the pictures there on the site Ozarker linked.

Re: My new \"Tak-Tak\"

Another tak-tak! (see picture attached)
I took this picture while I was walking around.
Farmer added a water well driller to remove the water from 100-150 ft! in his beet field. Engine is 2-cyl. diesel.

Polecat, when/where was he in Turkey?
Yes, these tak-taks rock! They can be designed by yourself according to your desire. What did I say before? Tractor is NOT necessary!!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Re: My new \"Tak-Tak\"

Goldoni markets something similar here for orchard/vineyard use.

Goldoni utility vehicle

Of course, its quite a bit more expensive than the prices you're giving for a tak-tak. It's also nowhere near as colorful ! And its designed to be driven, not towed.

I think your tak-tak is pretty cool. I'm reminded of the Mini-Moke's that used to be everywhere in the Caribbean... simple, functional, & bright.

Re: My new \"Tak-Tak\"

Polecat, do you memba dat you was lauf'ing at me when i was saying "u could do somethings w/o tractors"? U c now;)?Now, whats info u'd like to get?

Tbrown, on that Italian company page you linked to here, it's a kind of tractor. It has a "built-in-behind" trailer too?
Mini-Moke? Now wondering what it is. Have a picture? I had a business friend in Caribbean. I think it is time to have a vacation and business at the same time and Caribbean must be good place. Maybe, we can have a "tak tak vs mini moke" competition there /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Re: My new \"Tak-Tak\"

A Mini-Moke is a car/truck/jeep like thing (see attachment), nothing like a tak-tak, similar only that they are both very utilitarian. There used to be scads of them in the Caribbean, but they've largely been replaced by Suzuki Samurais, Diahatsu Rockys, and the like. There were a few in Tortola back in '87, I tried to rent one but they'd already been reserved.

The Goldoni is labeled a utility vehicle, its really a motorized wagon. I got a chance to look at one at the New York Farm show this spring. It has a pto, but no 3pt. Its too bad they don't figure out a way to put a 3pt and FEL it, and offer HST, they'd probably sell quite a few.

Re: My new \"Tak-Tak\"

This Sunday, I saw a farmer using a "tak-tak" trailer which was pulling another trailer. It was interesting to see a trailer was being pulled by another trailer W/O a tractor.

So, this thread's been here for a month. Nobody out there has copied this tak-tak trailer idea yet and made his own tak-tak using an engine, gearbox, etc just sitting there? Polecat maybe must be working on his now /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
