Re: My new \"Tak-Tak\"

</font><font color="blue" class="small">( After Egon said something about making one out of a Toyota PU I got to looking at an 84' Chevy Van I have just sitting here doing nothing. I'm thinking why not? A 350 V8 Tak-Tak with a dump bed. The steering, controls and seating on the Van is already forward so why reinvent the wheel? )</font>

There are many things sitting here and there which can be converted to somethings useful. Now, you will have a Van-Tak-Tak /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Re: My new \"Tak-Tak\"

One of the Japanese manufacturers used to make a coe diesel truck, either Mitsi or Isuzu. The diesels in them were really good and had a reputation for running forever. They were very popular with landscapers in dump form. I'll bet there are still some used ones running around that would be affordable.

Re: My new \"Tak-Tak\"

Is "coe" the name of the truck or a typo?

Sounds interesting. I really really want a smal dump but don't want to convert my PU to a dump bed.

Re: My new \"Tak-Tak\"

Well, I just tried again, and all I get is text. There is a link to an audio description, and a couple of paragraphs about the powerwagon, but still no pic. Strange. John

Re: My new \"Tak-Tak\"

I get the link to the audio as well but the pictures are about half way down the page. Are you using an old browser that may not work with that site or do you have java turned off?

Using IE 6 with updates, java on. I haven't had this problem with any other sites that I know of. I find it very very strange not to get the images. Thanks for trying. Maybe I'll figure it out sometime. I dropped the site and e-mail to see if they have any ideas. John
EDIT: I just tried viewing the site with Netscape, same result. John
