It should be fun to use, but it really isn't a toy. We get 20 to 30 feet of snow in the winter, I also have a front end loader and pallet arms (primarily for dead tree removal on my 10 wooded acres):

My old snow removal unit worked well 95% of the time, and neighbors help me out the rest of the time:

Welcome to the forum, I am new myself. That is an impressive lifestyle you have, I am in the wrong business!
Most snowblowers are in the rear, is yours driven by the FEL hydraulics? Is it quickly detacheable to change to the fel??
I grew up in upstate NY but have been living in Texas for 21 yrs.I am trying to buy a 2nd home up there with some acreage.I would be interested to know more about how you built your Log home, it is very nice.Maybe we could chat about it outside of the thread since it is not related? Ken

Welcome-Nice tractor. I have the same set-up you have, blower, loader, and forks. Very nice machine. Not much tractor work around here right now, just waiting for the inevitable snow removal duties. Blower is on,waiting for a friend to fabricate a pipe for my cutting edge to use instead of the shoes-keeps it from sinking in my gravel drive until it freezes up. I've been plowing and blowing without a cab and am really looking foward to the cab tractor this winter. Enjoy!

Welcome to the forum. That's some serious snow and a real fine way to deal with it. I like snow but there is a point where like turns into disdain. 10' per year is getting near disdain for me. In 2004 when my house was being framed we got over 120" and I was well past disdain. :D

Because we get so much snow up here, I think most people would want to not to have to look over their shoulder for such long periods of time. I figure that it will take me 45 minutes to a hour or so to do my driveway depending upon the snow depth.

I do have one neighbor who was farmer in South Bend Indiana in a previous life and retired to the UP of Michigan. He has his big John Deere rig that he used to work his fields, with no front PTO and has a 10 foot wide rear blower which he said is tedious (his driveway is a winding and 1,400 feet long).

It does use the same PTO as the FEL, and can be quickly removed. Of course I haven't done it yet, since the FEL is being fitted with the quick detacable bucket assembly to change to the pallet forks. I am also getting the rear window wiper and heater.

I built my house in 1978. I did everything except the masonry, plumbing and furnace installation. I had worked in construction before that as a plasterer. I learned a lot in building the house, because things didn't go smoothly with the home kit supplier, so if you every want to chat about that I would be willing to do so. I guess you looked at my picute of it, but for those who wonder what real winter looks like, here is my house in late February about 2/3 of the way through our winter snow season:

Welcome to the forum. That is a nice tractor setup and a bunch of snow to take care of. I am sure you will enjoy the cab, heater, stereo etc. The front snowblower will certainly be handy to use.

You will greatly appreciate the heated cab up there in the upper country. You'll find the B3030 to be a great tractor all the way around. I just use the fel for snow removal, don't get quite enough snow down here in Crystal Falls to justify the blower. You'll have to let us know how the blower works. Congrats on the new tool/toy!

Tractor? What tractor??!? I'm still looking at the 'Vette! :D

Seriously - nice setup you have there! I lived in Kalamazoo for a few years and tho' the lake effect snow was heavy at times, it PALES to what you have there! Wow... Have a great and safe winter "playing" with the new toy!
