My new toy

Welcome, welcome and anyone that comes on with pictures, welcome again. Two questions. Who the heck got up on the roof to remove all the heavy snow as that really looks as if it may have been a chore. The second questions is, do I see chains on the Big Boys Toy??? :)

Question 1 -

My wife and I cleaned the roof (the most hateful job in deep snow country). I say most hateful job, because you wait and hope that it will melt before you have to do it, and then when you realize that you have it to do it, it is three feet thick

Question 2 - The dealer said I won't need chains.

In any event I will get to try it out tomorrow. We got about 5" of 18 degree (dry fluffy) snow today and probably another foot or two for the rest of the week (mostly lake effect snow).

It is time this thread is removed or renamed. Who in their right mind would dare post "My new toy" as the name of their thread. Don't they know how hard many of us have had convincing our wives they were necessary WORK TOOLS, and not TOYS?
I have a B3030HSDC too, but it isn't a toy. Hopefully I will be able to convince my wife of this!
Somehow smfcpacfp has acquired several motor cycles and a corvette so he is way past the toy / tool discussion with his wife. We are not chiming in to celebrate his new acquisition but more to learn his trade secrets on how to end run the wife on so many fine toys, I mean tools. :D :D

I have to give credit where it's due.

It's not that he knows how to end run his wife. Us men would like to think we end run,,, but it never happens..

It's that he knows how to pick a good wife. I too am blessed with a wife that never complains about all my toys. Took me a couple trys to get it right but I'm there now!!! God Bless all supportive wives that understand the soul enriching joy a man gets from his toys!!!! :)

Very nice spread smfcpacfp. There are times, well maybe just a couple days a yr, that I'd like to have that much snow to contend with as I'd have many more cool toys, errr ahhh tools. But I guess I'll just enjoy it in others pics :D

I guess I'm lucky in that my Mrs doesn't care how many "things" I collect but the thing is, I have to be very careful as she expects to spend the same on her "things" too :D
She got a complete kitchen remodel when I purchased my BX23 and the amazing thing was that they both ultimately cost about the same :D

I hear you my friend. The good part for us is that we benefit a lot more from her remodeled kitchen than she does from our latest gizmo. ;)

Here is how it works with the wife. When she wants to get something, I don't question her. Then turn around is fair play. I guess I don't ask permission to get things, but I do consider her opinion to be valuable (not, however when it comes buying Corvettes).

I did tell her that I was thinking about getting the tractor. She has seen me struggle with my old rig and said go ahead and get it. In addition we need to do some serious landscaping next year and I got a quote to do this work which was shockingly high to both of us. We also have to spend a fair amount of time dealing with dead trees on our property. This will make that a lot easier.

My use of the term toy was a bad one in retrospect. I guess I should have said this tractor will make some unpleasant tasks more enjoyable.

Yeah, we are all teasing you lightly, not criticizing you. You're term of New Toy was right on the mark!!!! As I said,,,, nothing compares to the soul enriching joy a man gets out of a piece of mechanical equipment. Got forth, just try to not smile all the time while using it!!!! :)

I figured you guys weren't too serious. Anyway I took the snowblower and the mount off today and put the fork lift on. Then I put the snowblower on again, as we are expecting more than a foot of snow in the next few days. Putting the snowblower mount back on was a challange for one person.

Here is a picture of the interior that a friend of mine was interested in seeing:

In snow country we get accustom to removing lake effect snow! Last years snow fall one week just north of Syracuse.
