Eric, I would for sure try the noted above "fair-rite" ferrites first, and be sure to make at least one loop through the ferrite if possible. If that does not do the trick. i would take them apart, and solder a .1UF 100 volts rated or higher disk ceramic capacitor across the 12 volt leads as close as possible to the lights, inside the housing. You can also try bypassing each lead to ground with a .1 also. You could also try a .01micro farad especially if the interference is in the vhf spectrum.

How did the fuel tank repair work out? Looks like you done a good bit of clearing.

I took my time and allowed 24 hours of curing, but sadly the nipple broke off when I attempted to reinstall the fuel tank. Thankfully, the tank is just shy of $300.00 and so I've a replacement on order. I also discovered the top of the tank level sending unit is cracked and not as a result of battle damage. I'm going bring it in to my dealer on the way home to find out if the crack is grounds for warranty replacement.

BrushBull wise I plan to contact my Woods dealer and ask about what I should do. I still do not know why it seized up.

Ferrit wise (spelling) I ordered a package of ten of them through Amazon a couple of weeks ago and I'm supposed to receive them in October. I planned to share what I learned about the lights after trying the clamp-on electric interferance dampers.

I am really hoping you don't get a package of ferrets.

Have you checked the oil in the gear box? Just curious what it looks like if any since you said it locked up. Also how about the slip clutch? I assume you have checked it?

Been cutting by hand (Stihl) last few days along the shoreline amount the impenetrable section. Today I did stop by my tractor to see if the PTO shaft rotates--and it does, so my conjecture is that something gummed up the blades and then fell out sometime on the six minute drive out that I videoed.

I head back to the city tomorrow and can share more land clearing photos and tractor-missing-a-gastank photos when I get to a real computer.

Here is a sense of the 30 acre park I'm creating.

I chased back north with a new gas tank. Easy enough to pop back in. Though the new tank did come with a new gas cap, it didn't come with a new filler strainer, something I did not discover until I poured in five gallons from a gas can. I primed the system up at the fuel filter with the priming pump and fired the engine right up.

After 20 minutes of idling in near freezing temperatures, the engine still has not warmed up, and so I will be looking into hotter thermostats to quicken the warm up time.

I also checked out the Woods gear box and it is full. I decided the crack in the disk is not structural and so I'll keep an eye on it and weld it when I can. I did buy replacement blades so they are at the ready.

Today I followed a deer path out toward the point on foot and came back with the rotary cutter. I got within 200 yards of the sand beach that is at the point and clearly defined a walking path. If I spend quality time with a chainsaw I may be able to make a real path this week out to the point!

Anyway, back at it with my NX6010 and Woods BrushBull. All systems nominal after the first day.

iPhone out.

Remember if running the heater at idle and it is like my DK45 the engine will not come up to operating temperature.
