This a follow-up to the reply I made to Garry.
As I mentioned there, my youngest son is expecting his first baby in April. Well, it seems Mom took a fall on Sunday, nothing serious, but was feeling some pain and went to the hospital around 4PM. She was bleeding a bit and feeling some contractions, so they decided to keep her for 24 hours for observation. They gave her meds to lessen the contractions, but I guess the baby was having nothing to do with that......
Emily Nicole came into this world today at 3:15, weighing in at 4lbs 8oz, 17" long, full head of hair and a healthy set of lungs /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif . She's a little small and may have to spend some time hospitalized, at the most 6 weeks (thats the original due date). But IF she progresses well and gains some weight, she can come home sooner /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Her blood/oxygen concentration level is great, staying at 99-100% so no O2 is needed. Body temp raised to 97.8° when I left. So I expect her to be home in a week or so.
Dad and Mom are doing great......Grandma and Grandpa are flying on cloud nine. I thought about taking a camera, but she wasn't due for 6 weeks, figured she wasn't coming today/tonight. But Mom went from 1cm at 9 this morning to 4cm at 11:30. Water broke at 12:00.......born at 3:15 /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
