Mysterious cylinder config, please help identify

The pressure gage in two places. There's one by the flow control and there's one by the main system pressure relief valve I mislabeled PRV1 (there was already a PRV1 so it should have been PRV2). That one is ahead of SV1 as you suspected.

I said spiking, but that's misleading. It goes up to 30,000 lbs and gradually comes down as VRV1 acts by control. I wonder if our target is outside of VRV1's design specs er somthing. Could that be? I'm not at the site this week so I can't verify.

Do you have any model codes or pics of these valves.....VRV1.....PRV1.....PRV2.....?

You may have to go on a fishing expedition and keep digging in these valves or do some swap outs with another machine with compatable valves.....

Our controls engineer eventually tweaked the ladder so that it fits our application. There was no hardware issue once the check valve spring was replaced. Thank you very much for you help with this.
