Mysterious Glitch! Two New Records!!!
There was a "mysterious" glitch around 6-7 am this morning. Something on the sever re-booted on its own, and took the site down. Ibrahim had it back up within 15 minutes.
As you all know we did re-launch TBN a few weeks ago, with greatly enhanced capacity and capabilities. The changes are designed to carry us to the 2 million post mark and beyond. We are nearing 1 million posts now, so we hope to keep the "new" site for quite some time.
We realize there have been a few issues. But the moderators and other members have gotten almost everyone back online. If you still have problems, post details, or PM one of the Mods.
I consider the upgrade to be a resounding success. Muhammad has managed to "restore" many of the features some of you missed. But the big changes are ahead, with many new features that will start rolling out and continue for quite a while. Stay tuned.
Fell free to post your problems and requests. As most of you know, all of us try to be responsive and accommodate all that we possibly can. But as the forum grows ever larger, each change and amendment presents ever-more complex issues.
Hopefully, you are all enjoying yourselves again and the anxiety and frustration levels have receded.
A couple of new records!
We just hit a new "record" of simultaneous users online -- Almost 600 were all jabbering at the same time just earlier this evening around 7 pm.
Our number of posts has returned to the levels they were before the new launch; and the number is users just keeps on growing, with 30-40 new members each day.
There is a web site called "Big Boards" which tracks the largest forum sites on the Internet. Wikipedia reports that there are around 300,000 forums online today. Out of these, TBN presently ranks in the top 1,100. Nice going all you!
