My Porter Cable guns do the exact same thing if they have a jam. I push the gun into position, depress the trigger, and only get a faint 'hissss' from the gun. Happens on occasion, and every time it has been a nail, or part of a nail, jammed in the plunger are. As others have said you should be able to pop it open and find the culprit.

I will agree with this, all of my nail guns are Senco, some are 40 years old and I have used them to make my living.

That got me thinking, I have never actually had a jam with my DuoFast framing guns, which are about 35 years old. Occasionally a nail will break off the clip before it feeds down the rail, and I will need to jiggle the gun to get it to fall out the tip, but that's the worst of it. I have had lots of jams with my smaller and newer Porter Cable finish guns though.

Watched the video, not much of actual instructions but did show what it looks like taken apart.
Appreciate the advise, took a LED I use to inspect gun barrels and can not see anything jammed in the plunger. I had left in on my workbench for a day and was suprised of the amount of oil that had leaked out, I did not think I put that much in to start and with my other air tools the oil blows out. Once it stops raining I am going to try it one more time and if it still doesn't work I'll start the disassymbly. Dewalt has a dry-fire lockout I am wondering if it thinks it is out of nails. I can't figure out how this works anyone have an idea?

Well, I believe I found the problem, once I got the trigger removed it was clear the air leak was comming from the trigger valve. Removed two roll pins it came right out, it is a plastic valve with two external and two internal o-rings, the rings looked to be in good shape so I was hoping cleaning and silcon grease would fix the problem but unfortunatly after reassymbley it still leaks. Some web search shows this is a fairly common problem with nail guns and the part is only $12 from Dewalt. Now I'll just have to wait until it arrives in the mail.

Received and installed the new trigger valve this afternoon, happy to say the nail gun is working again. $12 part, $8 S&H, empirical knowledge - priceless.

Appreciate all the advice.
