Allright gang, had one sent to me to put on Name that tool :)

I would not have sorted it without a picture in use, but dang, after I saw it, I wanted one, (fortunately I have one now as it was on my table getting pictures  )

Anyway, going to throw it out there blind, and see if someone can sort through without clues. It is so simple after you see it, it will give you that Doooohhh moment.

Then you will go, dang, why did I not think of that :(

Looks like it might be a right angled floose buckler? Been years since I have witnessed anyone put one of them to good use.

<item> hanger? Loop a piece of rope or cable around a tree and hook the "hook" through it. The legs then sit on the tree and the item that you are hanging is held out a little by the notch in the top of the hanger?

Reelbig nailed the ink pen :) I would send you one but they are from my lawyer :)

2 other folks are real close, but no cigars are going out at this point.

It is NOT a welding tool.

I thought it was a metal Thunderbird when I first saw it :)

That is one of those tools to open the top on a can of soda so you don't break your nails, made especially for women.

Is it a spout ... Poke it into one of the old oil can's with metal top and pour?

I reread some of the posts. is it for hanging on the side of an oil barrel to hand a can on for filling?
