Please remember that TBN is a Family Friendly Site and language that's appropriate over a beer at a bar, is not here. Also, replacing obviously inappropriate words with ***** is not an acceptable alternative. Thanks! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

HGM, you are most certainly correct about Robby Gordon. He also has raced motocross and off road. Yup, if you want to call a "Gordon" a dirty driver, I agree. The way I see it, Robby will wreck you if even he only slightly needs to, Harvick will point fingers if anything goes wrong, Kyle B has learned what "not" to do from his brother, Mark Martin seems to be the nicest guy (but I hate trying to explain what Viagra is to my daughter), and since the ladies like him; J Gordon doesn't do anything for me one way or the other.

I like Elliot Sadler's attitude; I just can't understand what he is saying. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I think Rocket Man is cool and drives without fear; hopefully he will do well. As I mentioned; how can you not like MM. I like Kenseth too. Did you see where he actually got mad and started wrecking people back!? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif It's a bummer Jr. didn't make the chase, but I like his explanation; "we don't deserve to be in the chase the way we run".

Yeehaa! I love talkin' to the NASCAR ladies. Well, most of them anyway...

Sorry, I had seen it used before and thought it was acceptable. Wont happen again. Thanks.

I agree Martin has probably go the most class out of all of them. Its amazing to hear him bite his tongue the way he does when things work against him. He has been cought up in some bad stuff that seriously affected his points and he was as nice as can be.

PLEASE......... That photo almost made my cornflakes come back up.

Funny thing is about NASCAR. For YEARS it was acceptable to be what is called a "dirty driver" nowdays. In fact, that's how 90% of NASCARS early ledgends made their way to the top. It used to be called aggressive driving. "Rubbin' is racin'" was the phrase used by "yesterdays stars". (Rubbin..... Also known as shoving someone into a concrete wall at 150MPH!)

In an effort to clean up the sport, some folks would have you believe it's no longer OK to bang fenders. At the point where that stops, NASCAR looses it's "magic".

Fand LOVE the beating and banging. Bristol is known as "The toughest ticket in NASCAR". The little 1/2 mile track packs in 165,000 fans, and would see MORE if there was room for more seats. All because of the no-holds-barred rip off the bumpers racing that goes on there.

NASCAR will soon see it's "personality" lost at the present rate. It's not F1, It's not Indy car.

And the current crop of young talent? They're great drivers, but they sure aren't the stuff NASCAR legends are (were) made of.

Oh yeah, Robbie Gordon.... He might be a punk. He might just be the dirtiest driver in NASCAR history. But sponsors are standing in line for a quarter panel on his car. He gets more TV time than some of the regular winners.

And the idea of NASCAR changing the rules to keep Gordon from catching Dale Sr.'s number of championships is about the most laughable thing I've ever heard!

Well good. I'm glad you got a laugh, because it did keep him from winning #5 Championship. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Why do I get the feeling this could turn into a "political" thread??? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

How did it keep him from winning #5? They couldn't hardly FINISH a race, muchless run for a championship. With each passing week, he was going BACKWARDS in points. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but when you're in 13th place, and BACKING UP, how does that put you in a position to win ANYTHING?

Jeff Gordon, Hendrick Motorsports, Robbie Loomis, and the Rainbow Warriors prevented Jeff Gordon from winning another championship. Not NASCAR.

In fact, NASCAR made a rule change for NEXT YEAR so that there's room for the "has beens" to make it into the chase.

Remember in 04 when your pal Kurt Busch won the championship. That was the first year of the new top 10 in the points racing for the championship.

Had the rules been like they were before,,,, who would have won their 5th championship!!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

So your putting Hendrick motorsports in the "has been" catagory??

Oh how I would love to see a Roush pile-up in the next few races!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

FIrst off, how'd Kurt Busch get to be "My Pal"? I don't recall ever saying anything good, bad, or indifferent about him.

I'm not neccisarily a Rousch fan either. (Although he is a class act)

You need to look at the facts, and NOT the Jeffy-Boy fan club chat line on that points deal. The first three places (last year) would have turned out just as they did anyway, with the OLD points system.

And EVEN if there would have been a change in the standings becouse of the new rules, Gordon, as well as EVERY other driver had the same points system from which to win or not win a championship. Busch did. Gordon DIDN'T. Simple as that.

I DIDN'T say anything about Hendrick Motorsports being a has been, just Jeff Gordon.

That's the #1 sign of being a has-been.... When your fans start with the "WHAT IF'S" and "Oh YEAH'S".

It's humerous to me how defensive a fan gets of their driver when they have a bad season. Its undeniable Roush has a grip on things, it will also change. He has been too dominant. I am the Roush fan who thinks Kurt is a good driver, he's not my pal though. I also believe he wont be the same in the #2 car next year. Rusty is a good driver too, just hasnt had things work his way.
