your talking about your cv boots in the front right?? if so you have to take the hub off the pop the shaft out of the little hub . that will give you a straight shaft to slide the boot over. in otherwords the parts that are in between the cvboot needs to be pulled apart. you need to pop loose parts #3 and #6

Come to Arab and I will hook you up. Bring your hpx. :)
We ride everyday and I will be honest I don't believe I could handle a day in an hpx. The xuv rides like a car.
If your serious about trading, shoot me a pm and I can probably get one delivered to you cheaper than you can buy local.
I may be wrong, my brother lives in Peshtigo and we saved him 2 grand~!

So who wants to let me borrow 1400 bucks ??

Ok but seriously I wish I could trade my gator in for 1.4k. I've now got 2 boots that are shot, some sort of major driveline problem, a busted splash guard, a semi-broken hood, and oh yeah 600 hours on it.

As for XUV's, I have had zero issues with mine. I was one who traded in though a gasoline XUV for a diesel model, which has more power. That was not due to any dissatisfaction with the original product, though. So far, I have been really happy with my diesel XUV. I work it pretty hard and have already put about 40 hours on it. That does not sound like much but I have not had it that long, and it shares duties with my compact tractor. I know there are many who still have, and get good usage from the HPX, but having had both, the XUV is a monumental improvement and both ride and performance.

I havent heard of any failures either in the xuv. Mine rides , drives and is a much improved version of the gator. My neighbors hpx doesnt hold a candle to the xuv. He even admits he is going to upgrade also.
For a first year run I think it is a great utv. Most first year runs of any other make have had many more problems than the xuv.

Thisis one reason I really like John Deere. Yes, occasionally they will lay an egg. For the most part though they are really good with their engineering.

I've had excellent service from my John Deere dealer and all my John Deere equipment.
This is my 3rd gator and all have been problem free aside from the problems I created.
My brother has an 06 diesel hpx and an x595 compact and he has had zero problems besides overloading his dump bed with pea gravel.

The virtual XUV owners really have a tough time tho~!

no virtual owner here if i wanted one it would be sitting where my hpx is right now . i will look at one when the 08's come out til then i will ride my hpx. when i go to buy one i'm gonna have the guy put 1000lbs in the bed i wanna see it handle it better than the hpx. iether way i'm still keepin my hpx.

I have not hauled that much in my XUV bed yet, but I have placed a weight box with 14 42 pound Quick Tach weights in the back to take it to a friend who borrowed it for ballast for his tractor over the weekend. That would come to 588# + 150# == 738#, which did not even phase the XUV. I never hauled anything that heavy in my older HPX but the ride, etc. was almost exactly the same loaded as unloaded on the XUV. I have never really looked underneath at the frame that much on mine, but it is a fully boxed frame that is as thick and heavily done as some pickup trucks I have seen.
