Hi All.

I have a B2150HST and it creeps forward all by itself. It's bad enough that I believe it's dangerous.

I had my local dealer pick it up to repair it, but they said it needed a part, that is apparently discontinued.

The part is #66301-43420 "Plate, S-Change". It must be rounded out. The mechanic said he put a new damper tube and tried to make adjustments, but it is the same as when they picked it up.

So.... any ideas where I can possible find that part? If I can find a used one in good shape I'll buy it.

I have checked with Kentucky Tractor and one other place but no luck.

They dealer said they checked the dealer network and no one had one in stock.

Thanks for any help.

A quick google on 66301-43420 and it looks like Messicks has it, along with a couple other places online.

Hi Z.

Thanks for the response. I called Messick's directly, as well as Coleman's and some others. They confirmed that the parts has been discontinued. They each checked their "Dealer" computer systems and they claim no dealers had that part in stock.

I keep hoping that one of dealers actually has one that's not shown in their inventory.

That part is actually used on about 6 Kubota models. It either fails a lot and they sold out their inventory, or it almost never fails so Kubota didn't make many spares.

"Maybe" I can take it to a machine shop and they can rehab it. But I have to pull it off first to see how it has failed.

Well shoot, sorry about the misinformation. I actually checked Messicks and put the thing in my cart before replying. I still can...

Hi Z.

Thanks for that info. I had found a couple of sites that show "n/a" for some items when they are not in stock nor available.

But that message does not show up on any of the websites. They all make you believe that the part IS available. It was the local dealer who told me it wasn't available any longer, and that is what prompted me to actually call the Kubota dealers.

I wonder what would happen if I put the part in the cart and tried to order it?

Heck.... I guess it can't hurt to try ! AT least it may make them correct the website(s).

Well.... just for kicks, I went ahead and put the part in the cart and checked out.

I'll let you know what happens next !

I suspect I'll get an email informing me that my order cannot be fulfilled since the part is no longer available.

our computer systems don't accurately show availability from all the various sources we can get parts from, so when something is not in stock we show a generic vendor ETA. A real person does all the checking to make sure a part is not available from obsolete warehouses, Kubota, other dealers, etc. If someone else did the checking you'll get an email saying we can't find it anywhere.

I've gotten that dreaded email before saying that a part that I ordered is not available. :(

Maybe one will become available if someone does inventory and one pops up they missed before.

Otherwise, my choices are "used", or taking it to a machine shop for them to "tweak" it. Problem will be that I don't know what the part looked like prior to becoming worn out.

I assume the holes in it have become "egged" and need some material welded and cleaned to make an original shape/size.

The part doesn't show up on ebay anywhere, and I am waiting for a call back from Kentucky Tractor.

I just got the following email from Messick's"

"Part number 66301-43420 PLATE S-CHANGE has been discontinued by Kubota. I wasn't able to find this at any of our obsolete parts suppliers or in stock at any other dealers. I'm sorry I won't be able to get this part for you.

I have canceled your order and your card will not be charged."

So that answers that ! The search continues.
