@DavesTractors @LAWALLSTRACTORS- sure wish your dealerships were here in my state. I have seen many of your posts on TBN and you both appear to be very knowledgeable and helpful, your customers obviously have a great dealerships to conduct business with in CA and NY.

Thanks for the kind words! I'll agree about LaWall's as well, I've learned quite a bit from Galen's posts. He has a lot of experience and is always helpful.

Back when I was doing construction, I had 2 separate jobs on Harbor Blvd in the Los Angeles area. First time up there figured that one was just down the street from the other, so I figured that I would just go down the road a bit. 60 miles later & who knows how many signals and waaay inland I finally got to the other job. Never even entered my mind that Harbor Blvd would go inland. :confused2:

Lived for 11 years in Fountain Valley, CA. Know Harbor Blvd well. It goes on and on and on.

I have a 2006 Mahindra 2615 4WD Gear with the ML106 loader purchased new. We have purchased another piece of property (15 acres) that we plan to build on next year and will have horses and last seeded the pasture and alfalfa hay field. Below are my plans for the use of the new tractor and with that info hope some of you will have some suggestions on what is the minimum size new Mahindra I should get would be. Also, after this past winter and my age (63) I want a cab tractor to stay warm and cool and I can't decide on PST or HST, but know I am tired of constantly using the clutch.

Lots of loader work all the time it seems
Have several implements I still want to be able to use (5ft rotary mower, 5ft box blade, 7ft disc, 7 ft landscape rake, 3PT PHD, 2 bottom plow, 8 x8 harrow and 48" PTO 3PH tiller)
Have a lot of fence row cleaning to do over the next couple years and fence to build
Will have bush hogging to do
I store hay on pallets (16 to 20 square bales) per pallet and then move and stack them (approx. 3600 bales per year)
Snow removal
Plan to at least begin cutting and raking my own hay next year and may look for an older square baler
There will be horse barn chores and paddock work to do at times, but may continue to use my 2615 for that work as its size is just right

I have looked at the 3616 4WD PST and HST Cab and the 5010 4WD HST Cab (does not appear to come with PST in a Cab model, weird).

Am I looking at the right models?

Thoughts on HST, PST and Gear. Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated. The wife is pretty close to buying into the purchase, she is now saying she could learn to drive the 2615 and use it to take care of the horse barn and paddocks, so it will be staying and not traded in or sold.

Bought my 2008 5525 from Daves Tractor. One sweet machine. Dave has a class operation going at his place.

Dave installed triple remotes on the rear for about $750 (his design). Also got the skid steer quick attach (SSQA) for the FEL arms.

I installed an expanded mesh safety screen on the ROPS using hose clamps. Keeps me safe from flying debris when using my mowers.

Good luck
