Henri,

I have a 16' double axle trailer. It's has plenty of room for my tractor with the loader and ballast box plus enough room for the box blade behind the ballast box.

Sorry but I'm not FedExing it to you ;)

Not even from Toronto? :p

When I had my 2305 I had a 6.6 x 13' home made trailer that I made before buying the tractor, single 3500lb axle with electric brakes. It trailered the tractor ok however I used it only with a mower deck or snowblower, so the total weight was just under 2000lbs. and length was around 12'. Sold the tractor first then trailer, now I have a 2520 with a loader and snowblower. Bought a 7x16' car trailer with a 2' dovetail rated for 8,000lbs, brakes on both axles. I wouldn't be looking at anything smaller than 16' and with two axles.

I would go no smaller than 16' with tandem 3.5k axles.

Check out Aluma trailers. Very good IMO and all aluminum.

Sorry guys, I was on the road for the last 3 days. All good info. well appreciated. 16' trailer is not overkill for a 2305 with implement, but I think that a 14' car hauler would do. I am now looking at a new 14'x7' Wolverine alum. car hauler trailer with brakes. The problem, "if it is one" it's a single axle 3500lbs 15' tires. Feedback?

WHAT EVERY MAN HAS BEEN DREAMING OF - AND SO MUCH MORE!

I use a 14' landscape trailer with dual 3500 axels and electric brakes. I have had time that I forgot that I had anything behind me it tows so nice. go with the dual axel with brakes you won't regret it.

Thanks! Still looking, definitely double axle but leaning toward a 16'.

I just wanted to say, "Thank you" to BigTiller. I too am looking for a trailer this Spring and completely forgot about the limited category 1 on the 2305. I will need long sturdy ramps or a low trailer height to keep from dragging my 647 tiller, 60" RB and hopefully soon a 260 backhoe. I totally forgot about this aspect of trailering the 2305 until right now.

No question... if you can get at least a 16 footer, do it. :) At some point you'll want the extra room or a bigger unit. I had a single (3500lb) 6x12 before I picked up my 2305 that I've used for quite a while (also used it to haul my 2520/mower around town a bit too). It worked fine around town the little I trailered it but I always wanted/needed more. Do the tandem as well... ;) I've been shopping for a while now too and planned to grab a 18' tandem (3500 axles) flat of some kind... then thought seriously about upgrading to 5200 or 7000 lb axles as well. In the end I brought home a 20' utility PJ Trailer with removable sides the other day. Decided the tandem 3500 lb axles were fine for what I need. But my thoughts with going a little bigger will allow me to add a small front boxed area for mulch or light carry and still have room to get my tractor/FEL on the trailer with a little room left. This will also allow me a little extra room in case I go to a little bigger unit which may happen shortly. :D These little 2305's are all of 14' with FEL and a tiller of box blade... so 16' would be handy, but 18' would be ideal IMO. Best of luck! Let us know what you pick up.

stlbill,

I have a 16' trailer from Jerry James that I've had since 2004. It's been perfect for hauling my tractor with attachments plus I've hauled a few other tractors and cars with it as well. He will custom build to suit and his prices are reasonable. Not sure how far he is from you.

Welcome to Jerry James Trailers
