Hello we bought a new MF GC1710 because i was hoping to build my house/shop big building myself. I have been reading about shallow insulated foundations like they do in Europe therefore the backhoe. Off to a poor start, like a D.A. i paid the dealer list price i see now i paid way too much. Next i bought a 3 pt 9" auger basically the tractor has just enuf power to get the auger buried in the ground and not enuf power to pull it out unless you dig 2" at a time then fling it up. So i dug my 3 perculation test holes by hand and unfortunately so far i can't pass county perc requirements. Will try again next spring on a different corner of my property.
Meanwhile i decided to spend my time this winter and 'option out' our tractor to compensate for the inflated price i paid. I will build a cab after lowering the ROPS about 8" and adding a hand built canopy.
Here is my question: today i bought a new taken off Husqvarna 48" mower deck of course it is a typical riding lawn mower belt drive (3 blade) so i have to get power from the mid mount PTO to a pulley. The book sez the mid PTO is CW rotation is this as if you are standing in front of the tractor looking at the front tires? Perhaps i can use the rt angle gearbox from the post hole digger to get a 90 degree turn.... Also probably this has been done before any pixs or info to share? thanks in advance...
