Tiller need advice on buying tiller for Kubota BX25

I find an auction rotary tiller on ebay.
accubic on eBay
The accubic RTA48 description say it is comparable with bush hog RTC50G and Phoenix T4 48".

I compare 3 kind of tillers' pictures and RTA48 look nice.
But I have never heard of brand accubic. So can anyone give me some advice? Thanks!

Looks like a dead ringer for our Sicma Phoenix.

Appears to be a mysterious offshore company with no address is marketing various brands over the internet.
Broken English on their website and emphasis on corporate identity leads me to believe a marketing graduate put this company together on the cheap to make cash quickly.
Not sure how you'd handle any warranty issues with this entity.

wow - that looks just like the bushhog tiller but rebranded. I have the rtc-40 for my BX and I can tell you its a really nice tiller. I had it since I bought my BX24 and I think its been 5-6 summers i used it. My father uses my tiller too and no problems. I wouldnt hesitate to get the 48. The BX has plenty of power and I see in the ebay pics it has the slip clutch but not mounted. In ebay pics, I see a chain cover guard and mine did not come with one.

I have the Sicma Phoenix T4 48" that I use with my BX25. It is made in Italy by what is considered by many to be one of the best tiller manufacturers in the world. I believe that the Bush Hog brand is a rebranded Sicma. The fit and finish of mine is superb and the BX handles it just fine. It even covers the tire tracks. I'll bet that the one on ebay is just a cheap Chinese knockoff of the Sicma. The Chinese are capable of building some quality stuff, but can seriously cut corners on the knockoffs to keep costs down. On something like a tiller, it never hurts to buy decent quality the first time around. Get a King Kutter which looks a little rough, but folks say they are tough. or get a Sigma, I got mine from ETA and the orange one is a dead match for the Kubota orange. I personally wouldn't want to risk spending money on a unknown brand of tiller that I can't even examine, just to have it end up sitting in the weeds, broken behind the shed in a couple of years with no parts available.

Like paulemar said- both King Kutter & Sicma make fine tillers - we have one of each. Not sure exactly what accubic is sellin' and they ain't tellin'.

I think most all tillers are tough. Regardless of the brand. Some are "prettier" than others, and some are "more stout" than others. But they all have to be able to turn the ground inside out.
Most everybody you talk to or read about loves their tiller regardless of the brand or color or how much rust or wax is on it. I have a 6' Countyline that is made by King Kutter. It sits out in the weather year round. Never had a minute's trouble out of it, and I, like many people, have hit metal, big roots, and whatever else you can't see under the dirt. I bought mine second hand. Too good of a deal to pass up. The original owner purchased it new from Tractor Supply and used it 2 or 3 times. If I ever buy another rotary tiller I will find the closest King Kutter dealer I like and buy it. I won't purchase implements from box stores. If I wouldn't have found mine when I did, I planned on purchasing a new one from "McGeesEquip" in Mississippi, who is a sponsor on this website. The address is www.equipmentbarn.net

Buy it from a dealer and have them cut/fit the PTO shaft for your tractor.

What you cannot see is what can hurt you. Metalurgy is largely invisible until something breaks. Then it takes some skill to figure out what the state of the steel actually was. By then, it's too late if the company you bought from doesn't want to answer your phone calls. Because of this, I will only buy an implement like this (ground engaging, PTO driven) from a company that I know, and with a physical domestic presence (Canada & US).

I didn't make any telephone call to this accubic company to ask why his products is so same as others, did someone call them ever? What is their response?

I understand how to produce these small tractor attachment clearly, and I don't think the different material is the reason why accubic is so cheap, thanks internet, we can find the steel price so easily.

This weblink is yesterday's steel price in China Shanghai market, you can see the the steel price:
Q235B, it's the common steel, price is 3680 RMB/ton nearly = 600USD/ton
Q245R, it's called boiler vessel steel, price is 4530 RMB/ton nearly = 755USD/ton
I think the reason why they are so cheap is: labor cost or company tax, so I guess this accubic produce his products in maybe Mexico, South American or China.

It's obviously new. Have you ever used a tractor?
That price is good if driving to pick it up isn't too much of a burden for the OP.
You can be sure Bush Hog will still be standing behind it, long after the third set of replacement blades are worn down to nubs.

Be careful with the tiller, my wife was using our 4' tiller on the Bx24 and was running the engine speed to slow, it cause the tiller to jump around to much and ended up breaking a part in the Kubota PTO, all said and done it cost 2600 bucks to get it repaired. The mechanic had to break down the entire back end and change out a cheap looking part that had only a couple of small tack welds that broke. Parts were cheap but the labor involved cost me an arm and leg. Expensive lesson for the wife.

Hi, sorry, I didn't use my tractor to do anything farm work, I only use it to test my products. Yes, you are right, it is totally new, but there are really many dust on its surface. I didn't make survey about Bush Hog retail price, so is it cheaper than common retail price?

Thank you for your experience, but I'm a little strange why the tiller jump?????? I think many of us can learn something from your experience.

Tillers that are light in weight and built with only 4 tines per flange group do not have the weight to dig against harden soil conditions. The gap between the tines with only 4 tines per flange can have harder running conditions. Running the units at a low RPM can lead to more bouncing.
