I'm lucky enough to have a 4310 and my FIL's 5420 at my disposal. If I only had to work with one, it would hands down be the big one. Main reason is the BIG WHEELS. These are best in a multitude of situations hands down. Ride smoother, go thru mud better, better traction to pull etc...
If you are on hillsides though, I'd reconsider to a smaller wheeled tractor.
I wish I had a cab for the heat down here. If you buy a cab, you can always get your money back for it if you sell. They really hold their value. The rest of the tractor will depreciate a bit, but the cab will help sell it and bring a higher price. Just don't plan on driving it through a forest.
