Thanks mddorange, Do you think your KK is way stronger than the TSC 5fter ? I'am worried about ROOT's that's why I thought 1-3 teeth at first trying to not tear up equipement ? I do plan on going slow and taking my time....
Depending on where you are & when you bought it the TSC impliments are KK rebadged. Tartar gate is their other big impliment OEM & they make similar quality stuff.

My 6' KK box head up behind my 32hp 3,500lbs L3200. A bit light for my new 40hp 5k+ L4060 though & looking to upgrade.

Hey Fallon-I used to live in Parker & Elizabeth CO, the one I ordered from Baine's is total different way of attaching (stronger) than the TSC & it's 45lb heavier, should get it thru freight shipping in about 10 day's. If anything it might be on the upper end for my tractor & tires.

Nope!
In the Eastern US, I have not seen a single rebadged KK implement at any TSC in several years.
I have a new KK box blade, and it is significantly different/better than the Tarter Gate BB that TSC is selling.
I live only 6 miles from a TSC store, so I see the implement stock at that store frequently, but have visited other TSC's from New England to Florida as well.
No KK stuff at TSC!

View attachment 500772I have found this attachment to work best for digging out objects from underground. At my place these objects are medium to large clusters of rocks. With all 5 shanks down and pulling with the shank bar dragging the ground, it will stall my LS if I hit a big cluster of rocks. So far the shanks on this thing have held strong but not so lucky with the box blade. I sheared off several of them before I got this piece of equipment.

What is this called?

Reciprocating saw with a good 12" demolition blade makes short work of any root that slows you down.

Seems no matter how well built box blades are they can still be over stressed
I thought Gannons were almost indestructible but without even using rippers ( pushing snow in reverse) managed to bow the main beam on my 76" 1000# box blade this year pushing into a few snow banks,

at least the tractor is OK, pretty rough winter this year...

OP I would take your time getting a feel for the box blade, and watch those roots. Enjoy your new box blade they are a very handy 3 point tool to have
