Here is a word of caution about your GR2100. My transmission started leaking today with 108.4 hours on it:mad: and my neighbor's transmission blew-up(fluid all over his lawn) at about 98 hours. Because of his missfortune I have been paying close attention, and that's how I caught the leak today. The dealer is looking for a replacement as we speak. Apparently the dealer won't make it good, it's up to the customer vs. Kubota. I understand that Kubota has extended the trans. waranty to 4 years?

I have been scrambling trying to find a web site addressing the GR2100 transmission problem with zero success, so if any one knows of a site please give me a shout.

Take it to the dealer. Kubota has a kit to update some bushings and changes to the way that the case is sealed. We've done a few so far with only good results. They know the slipped up on this one, thus the 2-year extension to the transmission warrenty.

Thank you ever so much for the reply, you brought me down from a major tither. Our dealer is reputable and might be unaware of the repair kit.

Thanks again

I hope I have better luck with mine then what I am hearing so far. Mine is about three years old and only has about 85 hours on it. So far...no leaks and no trouble...maybe I better use the **** out of it before that 4 year period is up.

Our dealer is not using the repair kit, instead is swapping out factory rebuilt transmissions, so there is a delay, and as long as the fluid level is maintained it can be kept in service. I've added about an 1/8th of a cup of fluid in 10 hours, and feel thats acceptable. So the crisis is over.

I change tranny fluid every 300 hours in my BX 23.
It now has 1100 hours on it & I've never had to add a drop of fluid to the tranny.
1/8th of a cup of fluid in 10 hours certainly would not be acceptable to me.
