Wow, just wow. Anybody can be an electrician i guess And the inspector saw that and did nothing? If an electrician saw that and did nothing, he could be on the hook and lose his license if anything "bad" happened. Can you say liability?

being as he said that it was a "Big Federal no no" I would assume that it is freon leaking from when someone ripped the outer set of tubes loose.

You're correct on the R410A leak.

I would assume that it is freon leaking from when someone ripped the outer set of tubes loose.

That was not the cause of the leak.

Ill bet ya it was at the distributes ware house and given the location in the coil and it's still o a skid and that is too clean inside they put a fork in to coil and were patching it up to sell t one of us.

With a wire mess like that you need a good smoke alarm like this.

The amazing part is that if the person who did it was smart enough to organize all the wires to work and run equipment correctly, you would think they would be smart enough not to put it all in one box!
