Need help adding a hydraulic adjusted plow

Hi Kenny that is what I was going to ask you next was will my loader lines attach to the new valve, sounds like no. So on normal loader setups it sounds like there are only two lines for the lift rams compared to mine that has 4 correct? How are the rams run in series?

Loader cylinders are in parallel, not series. There is usually two hoses on the valve that goes to the first cylinder with a Tee, then on to the second cylinder.

My connections are like this:
Valve1 out - Left ram in - Left ram out - Valve 1 return
Valve1 out - Left ram in - Left ram out - Valve 1 return

Got it. You have separate hoses from both cylinders to the valve. Hence the double-stacked banjo fittings (the ones with the bolt through them).

How about if I add a single spool valve that has the power beyond port and put it in FRONT of my two spool valve and feed my two spool valve from the new valves power beyond port. Then connect the low press return from the new valve to my two spool valves output and send to the tank. Such as this unit:

Phil, you could use a smaller valve though, like the 9-7861 or the 9-7862 if you wanted to splurge and ad a two spooler.

I have a Pasquali tractor as well, and as eluded to above lets just say they are special in some areas .

I was going to add a similar setup to mine last winter, and had planned on using a new valve before the current one, then having the pb port run into the input of the existing loader valve. I hadnt though through all the details at that time so this setup may have some flaws.

Also, from what I have found my tractor a 993 model has about a 6-8 GPM pump. That is according to everything I could find about it and people I talked to.

In the end, I used a plow and mounted it right to the loader arms. In hindsight that is not the most effecient thing in the world without angle. This year will be using a completely different tractor.

Hello David I was thinking the same thing and from what Kenny said he agrees. So I think that will be my plan. So do you still have your Pasquali? I wish there was a sub catagory for just Pasqualis to try to get in contact with others that have them. Ive got a few issues I am working on but overall its solid and runs strong.

Yea I still have it. I bought it as a basket case basically. The front and back rearends were all torn up and some bearing were out of the transmission. I split it replaced both ring gears and pinions, a million bearings and a few seals. It works like a charm and I know much more about the internals of it than I had ever wished.

I also bought a backhoe off of a bx23 kubota that was in a fire and made mounting plates to put on the back. I run it off of a pto pump for more output and less hassle with the front hydraulics.

If you need any input I might be able to provide you with some.

Ok looking to get the 9-7862 valve unit which has SAE 8 thread ports. For a none hydraulic minded person what fitting type fits SAE 8? NTP or JIC ?

Neither:thumbsup: It's SAE or more commonly call ORB (O-Ring Boss)

SAE J514 Straight Thread O-Ring Boss (ORB)
Recommended by the NFPA for optimal leakage control in medium and high pressure hydraulic systems. The male fitting has a straight thread and O-ring. The female port has a straight thread, a machined surface (minimum spotface) and a chamfer to accept the O-ring. The seal take place by compressing the O-ring in the chamfer. The threads hold the connection mechanically.

THanks Guys, now I know why people pay big money to have things like this done for them. Got to become somewhat knowledgeable in it to be able to do it without buying more than you need in wrong parts.

looking at it SAE8 only seams to have adapters to NTP 3/8 so will need another adapter to get to 1/4 for the plow lines.

I think I have enough info to be dangerous.

Its not complete but the control valve is plumbed into the hydraulic system thanks to KennyD's help. I needed BSPP adapters to NPTF which the hoses are. Now I need to take the tractor and plow to my mechanic to have mounts welded into the bucket of the tractor.

Heres it all connected in including the lines to the future plow.
