I was in your exact situation 2 years ago - trying to decide between JD, Kubota or NH / Case IH in an 100HP mid-size loader tractor in the $50K - $55K range. The first thing I learned is that there is no perfect tractor. I bought the NH due to the following:
heaviest machine of the (3)
had the best loader visibility from my perspective due to the generous slope of the hood
had the best cab lay-out IMO
540 pto speed at 1900 engine rpm
corner post exhaust standard (this was an $800 option on JD)
independant parking brake (this feature not available on newer models)
bigger tire option - 18.4R34 rears and 14.9R24 fronts
3PH lifting capacity 2000# more than JD
3PH control at the back of the tractor makes it convenient when hooking up implements
wife's favorite color is blue
less $$ than the JD and Case IH clone
I have owned it a little less than 2 years and overall I am pleased with the tractor. Only issues that I have had is a loose gear shift cable that caused it to be stuck in 2nd gear and the loader sucking air.
The engine has good torque and is very easy on fuel.
I don't advocate one color over another, it is a tough decision and if the $$ was not an issue, I probably would have bought the JD 5M or the NH T.5 series. Take your time, be deliberate and choose the one that you like the best overall.

Great comments and review. Thank you. That's the same lines I'm seeing. The 5600 lb 3 pt just shows the tractors strength over the others

If a Deere M is too expensive, look at Kubota. I have them both and Kubota in the 70-90 HP range has it all over Deere except for the weight.

Went looking at trucks and tractors all day. The NH and case are identical. Really like the red. Just about 99% sure I'm going to be switching brands to one of those. Test drove the actual tractor I like and it was slick. Could get a full load of dirt easily and without any weight off the back. Very impressed and the wife actually really liked it

Until now, I forgot that Case and NH and one and the same company. Not sure why but I was thinking they were separate companies. I remember that Fiat had an interest in New Holland or maybe it was Ford tractors t one point. Does Fiat own or partner with Case/NH?

McCormick too... the economy line of CASE. IIRC.

Got some numbers back on red. It is a dealer that doesn't heavy equipment and has a very well equipped and well trained staff from what I could see. They also offer free hauling for the warranty period and also free on site repairs for field repairable issues. Really liked them and the numbers aren't bad, just trying to get them to match NH and I'll go red

Well for those following along, Deere didn't follow thru with a cash back buy back. They are giving me what I paid for trade towards a new Deere. I ordered a 5100e with 3rd function, buddy seat, 2nd door kit and h260 loader. Went back and forth with the transmission. If I ordered the 12/12, tractor would be in around oct 28. The 24/12 would be in around the third week of February. I opted for the 24/12 and am really excited now. Also decided it would be a good time to upgrade my 2 yr old box blade with a new bb4296, the same one Eric runs with his kioti just a foot bigger. Figured if it'll hold up to him, it should be good for me.

I think the 5100 has a road gear in the 24/12 and will go well over 20 mph on the road. I'm thinking 24 mph?

Good stuff! And that the (your) dealership is giving what you paid for trade is still a generous offer on their behalf... you wouldn't get that from anyone else for a 'used' tractor.
