Need help deciding.. JD 1050 or JD 4300?

I have a 950, next smaller to the 1050. The 1050 has a turbo diesel engine. They were made from 1980 to 1988. I did not think the 1050 came with hydro option. I am pretty sure they were all gear drive. All the x50 series JDs are good solid tractors. But it may also be a little large for only 2 acres.

Yes, the difference between the 950 1050 was the turbo to up the HP. They were made by Yanmar. You are also correct that the 1050 did not come in a hydro version. The first compact hydros JD came out with were the 655 755 855 955. Is your question that the 950 1050 might be to big for two acres?
