OK, I'll go with the Andersens and the corrosion proof safety boots on each side for a little extra corrosion protection. Now I gotta decide wire size. I think it's 10 ga.
If it's 12ga, do they make a lighter connector for 12 ga wire?

Go with the ten gauge size, make sure that you solder the wires into the sleeves, don't just crimp them. Also make sure that you use fine strand wire, not the 7 strand stuff. A good quality oil and sun proof extension 10 gauge extension cord will work.....

One more stupid question: I can get rolls of any wire I want, but what I'd really like is 2 10ga wires put together in a weatherproof plastic sleeve. I can make my own in split loom, but I really like the toughness of a pre-made 2 wire in a sealed sleeve.

Anyone know who sells wire already set up this way on line for reasonable cost?

I like the idea of using a conventional exterior electrical box with a standard12V receptacle on the truck. Then use another standard 12 volt male plug on the pump.:D

Do you have a West Marine or any other marine shops in your area? They sell exactly what you are looking for. I linked it...or you can cut up a extension cord, but it will have 3 conductors.

That flat two pin will only carry a couple of amps, plus they get OLD fast. I'd go with Egon, but only use the ground and neutral pins on the plug, just in case someone tries to plug your pump into a 110v outlet.
My auto supply shop carries that brake wire......but its not really designed for movement in cold weather..(gets stiff)

Too bad you aren't in Canada. Princess Auto carries these in 10 gauge. $6.00

Four pin trailer connectors might work also with a bit of finagling.
