I think you will need to be more specific as to what problem you are having.

Deffinately neeed more info.

most 3pt augers have a long bar connection in place of the toplink.. then the 2 lower links.. then the pto shaft.

since the 8n doesn't have live hyds.. you will need to leave the pto shaft disconnected till you lift the 3pt, then shut her down, connect the pto shaft.. then go.

could it be a spline compatibility issue?

could be.. but impossible to tell with the -no info- that was given.

oem pto was 6 spline 1 1/8.. new style is 1 3/8 6 spline.. could be either. it's a 4-bolt 15 minute job to swap the shaft.. or you can use a stub / sleave converter to adapt it up.

Don't you mean live PTO? Also does that tractor NOT have a lever to engage or disengage the PTO? My nephew had one and right sure it did. If so why must you disconnect the PTO shaft to move the tractor?

8N has live PTO.. The PTO is ALWAYS on. Never heard of 8N with independent PTO. But I'm no expert. Soundguy?

Yer both wrong. The 8n has NON LIVE pto.. the pto is not ALWAYS on. it's on when you engage the lever and are not on the clutch. if you step on the clutch, pto dies.

the hyds are run off the pto.. thus since the pto ain't live.. neither are the hyds.

since you need the pto running to make the hyds work, to lift the 3pt.. then you certaintly can't have the auger hooked up to the pto as the thing will start drilling while setting on the ground as soon as you let the clutch out.. it's real likely it will drill in before the lift arms pressureize and lift it up.... that's why i said hookup the 3pt components, get the lift and auger in the air.. shut the pto off, then hook the pto up to the auger.

trans pto.. non live

belly pump.. non live hyds... if pto is disengaged.. so are the hyds!
