Need help with baler

I have a 30 acre area that is in hay. It has been harder and harder to get someone to bale it for me.
I bought a NH 658 round bailer at a real good price. I just have to figure out how to run it.
I have searched for owners manuals and operators manuals, but have not found a site I trust to buy from.
Could not find one at Messicks.
One site says I also need the computer manual separate from the owners manual.
Part numbers are 86565197 for the computer and 86637552 for the baler.

Any help is appreciated

I'm 65, can't do much on computer either, but I'm using my Samsung Sky phone, a $100 Wal-Mart special. Googling there are YouTube videos of that model bailer in action. Then I immediately spied this...

Lastly, we just got back from a little Lancaster County Pennsylvania vacation. In the heart of Amish country is New Holland factory, which we visited...I was drooling the whole time. Across the main street is Yoders Buffet. It's worth going there just for that!

New Holland...they're great. Call them, or visit a New Holland dealer.

Basically string it up with twine or netwrap, whichever it uses. Grease everything, hook it up and start feeding it. Then hope it trips and ties. Need to stop while it's tying. Raise gate eject bale, repeat.

Get your manuals from New Holland or a New Holland dealer, not some pirated poor quality repop. You WILL need separate manuals for the baler and Bale Command Plus electronic system.

But I am clueless.
How many ways are there to screw up?

attach pto
attach electrical? no plug on tractor

once electrical is figured out, engage pto. drive.
when is it full? What makes it wrap?

engage hyd to open rear. Does it open until the bale falls out?
Engage hyd to close the door.

Drive again

What did I do wrong?

You’ll wreck it without some kind of instruction. There’s more to it than can be discussed here. The link I had to NH technical publications doesn’t work. But you can download everything you need if you can get there.

Alternatively, go to the New Holland Agriculture site. Click the drop down menu to the right of the precision land management tab. Click buying and services. Scroll down to technical publications and click. Put the publication numbers in the appropriate box in the search menu.

What did I do wrong?

Make sure that you get hay in all the way across the pickup, especially at the ends, or the "shoulders" of the bale will be soft and twine (if you use it) will fall off of the ends. You will also want to keep an eye on the height of both ends of the bale so that you don't end up with a cone shaped bale.

When the baler gets full the monitor will tell you to stop, probably beep also. It will start tying if everything is working correctly. The monitor will beep again when it's ready to eject. I don't know that specific baler but it probably has a manual indicator to show full or maybe a stop flag like mine.
Is it electric tie, hydraulic, or auto wrap? I'm clueless about the bale command. You may have to push a button to tie after it tells you to stop. Either way if you got the manuals now it should be a piece of cake if everything on the baler works like it's supposed to.
On a few occasions I've had to adjust the cable that trips the auto wrap. If the baler overfills it will drop a bar that shears the pin on the pickup.
If you have a wheel rake the easiest way to make a good bale is to adjust your rake for a row the same width as the pick-up. If not you have to feed one side then the other side. The bale command may show you how the chamber is filling. If not it's a trial and error thing to make good bales.
If the baler has a kicker the bale will be kicked out when the gate is all the way up. When you close the gate make sure your clear of the bale and, that the gate is closed and locked. Should be an indicator for that as well. My baler has a kicker but it doesn't always kick it far enough away to close the gate. Have to move up a bit to close the gate.

Like I said I got it for a goood price. Bought it at an estate action. Everything was going for 25% of it value or less. Had one day to get it off the property. I had to drive 2.5 hours round trip to get a tire for it and then had to pull it 3 hours at 30 hph to get it to my sons ranch.

Now I have to figure out a way to get it 225 miles to my farm. I want put it on a trailer it but I may get trailer tires to put on it and pull it 45 to 50 mph.

Some good heavy tires and wheels you can pull it that far. A trailer would be the best choice though.

If the tires and wheel bearings are in good shape drop a pin in the hitch and take off. You can pull it 40-50 mph all day long.

I checked the wheel bears for heat a couple of time and when I got to his ranch and there was no heat, so the bearings should be good.
The tires say do not exceed 30mph. So that was my max.
The tires were hot, one was the high flotation tire, and the other was a tractor front. Both were hot and soft. Temp was in the 90's so road temp was 100+

I am not sure about 40-50 mph on those tires.

Thanks, I am still thinking about it.
I need to get the manuals and give myself time to see all options before I pull it. I am thinking it will be mid to late August before it gets moved.
I have a cutter that needs repair and no rake, and with the summer heat here in Texas, there is no hurry.

I want to get out there and start baling right now. I just know me and I need to take my time gather information and take it slow. If I do not I will screw something up.

I shredded the field in late April because the grass was so high. It looks like it is ready to cut again.
I looked at the cutter yesterday and there were red wasps hiding in it. You know how it is when you can not get to the nest and they keep coming out of holes and attacking.

I keep telling my wife we need to move out to the farm. It would make it a lot easier getting jobs done.
