JD 6R 145. I successfully set up a random curve along the edge of a field and it will steer itself along that path. But when I move over to make another pass, I get the message that autotrac has disengage due to being too far off track. I can run straight lines with no problem. What's different about trying to follow a random curve?

I know nothing about the software but thinking of the problem mathematically I wonder if it has something to do with it being a smaller radius?

Well I finally found some info online and I think I have it figured out, but I'll have to try. Looks like I should be using A-B Curve instead of Adaptive Curve

I believe you are correct on the A-B curve since that should follow the path you created. Have only used that function once though so memory could be wrong once again.

I know this is old, but in case it helps someone else.

You need to set up the guidance so that it records a line every pass when you lower the implement. You have to record a new line as you are following the previous line while in Adaptive Curve.

If you only want to record the line once and follow that same original line, just copied in either direction offset by your track spacing, then use AB Curve.
