Probably but knowing Shoup (I buy my disc mower blades and skid shoes from them, They aren't too keen on Chinese stuff). Been dealing with them a long time and they are Illinois farmers as well.

Yeah, they definitely buy the best they can and that's usually American. Even this buggy top is beautifully made. It's possible parts are USA.
Many of their smaller parts, pins and such are Taiwan.

Today it's very hard to stay competitive and not buy offshore, especially fasteners. Most of the cold headers went out of business. They cannot compete wage wise or material wise. Same with foundries. The EPA put most of them out of business. I used to do business with Elyria Foundry. They made high quality cast brass fittings and were nice folks too. Gone as well as the jobs.

We live in a sad sack country today and that is all I have to say on that subject without getting censored.

When you have people with college degrees flipping burgers at fast food joints, something is very wrong.

I'm the OP and tested out the buggy top installation on a recent 30+ mile tractor drive. The top held perfect at 10 mph with a modest 5-7mph cross wind. Not even a flutter so it will take more. I was completely shaded.

Plus, I can pull the pins and remove or reinstall the top in seconds so it looks good at a parade or whatever.
