The 2220 gas the same vulnerability, but the pto light comes on.

There're some things exposed under there for sure. Shielded hydraulic lines on the loader arms would be nice too - if you work in trees and brush.

I have noticed when pushing down tall sapplings, if they don't get cut off or get pulled out of the ground, you leave 'spears' behind. I try to never back up in those situations - that's when the damage happens. I have pulled more than a few sapplings out from under my tractor frame, one almost went through my radiator core.

The brush guard is a joke. I have some old hay fields I am trying to clear over time. I know I am not using the right tool.

Dave.

I hate troubleshooting electrical issues. Your advice was much appreciated!!

I never understand that statement. I'd take 10 electrical problems to one hydraulic problem where I had to open up my tractor. I guess the dread of electrical problems stems from the fact that you can't see a "leak" or physical damage most of the time. Often, you smell a problem before you see it.

I think it's great that you got your tractor going by yourself and didn't have to take it to a dealer or have a mechanic come to help. The next time something happens, you'll be more confident. Good job!:)

Jim, I think some people just understand 12vdc better than others. I know some very talented electricians that can wire anything from a garage to a nuke station that get confused on 12vdc.

It is 12V that really messes me up. I can't seem to get the switches set correctly on the tester. AC is no problem for me.

I have learned to be careful when cutting in high briars and light brush. There are some wires exposed that should be jacketed or shielded better on the underside of my TC35A. My land is almost cleared and I hope not to be cutting stuff this high in the future.

Thanks again for the advice!!
