Need help

Yesturday I put some split wood in the bucket and when I went to start the tractor I heard a. Loud bang in the engine but ran fine no smoke Tuesday I plan on call the dealer but I need to hope figure it out. I shut it off and started it again and it was normal.

I have never experienced a diesel backfiring......

I would check to make sure all the cats were accounted for.
