Using that logic, if every single component isn't originated from the US, then it shouldn't be called made in the USA? I think that's poor logic.

King Kutter products are MADE in the USA. Tiller rotor bars are made here. The flanges are made here and welded onto the rotor bar. The top of the deck of the rotary tiller is formed in our plant. The deck for the rotary kutter is cut and formed in our plant, as are the side rails. We manufacture the stump jumper in our plant. The box frame for our discs are cut, punched, and welded together in our plant. The three-point frame is bent, and punched, and put together in our plant in the USA. To me... that's MADE IN THE USA.

It's hard to get much more American made than that.

Ken... why aren't you a King Kutter dealer? You sound like a heck of a good dealer and I think every company could use more good dealers. I don't know your area, maybe we've already got a dealer there.

We have considered it, however, we ship nationwide and you guys supply the "Box Stores" to some extent as well as to dealers, so we have to find a product of equal or better quality for less cost. Thus, Hawkline, Tarter, Phoenix, First Choice, etc. Ken Sweet

Well... hopefully we cross paths sometime, I'd like to meet ya, maybe change your mind!

Oh... and I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't tell you that I think King Kutter is a better product than all of those other brands you mentioned! HA. :)

Have a good day!

Look forward to meeting you someday, as well. You have a Happy New Year and make lots of sales. Ken Sweet

My slip clutch and driveshaft are definitely from china though so who knows where the rest is from for sure.

Most of the drivelines that King Kutter uses are from Italy or Spain. I say most b/c I know at one point we had to fill in with a few drivelines w/ slip clutches that were made in China, but like I said, this is not the norm. I do know that we have not had any trouble to speak of with any of them, no matter where they were made.

Thanks for buying King Kutter!

Yes in certain parts of the country. Nowhere near you. Most of the west, such as TX, OK, AZ, other western states, are supplied by King Kutter. We don't do KY, TN, NC, SC, OH, WV, AL, or GA. I can't remember exactly all of the states.

Needless to say, none of the equipment actually says King Kutter in the TSC stores. They've went to their County Line brand, no matter who makes it.

Hey no problem its a good product! My shaft and slip clutch has made in china all over it there isn't any doubt mine is the exception which is just my luck.

They work fine I am not knocking them yet just am taken back by the 99.9% made in USA statement you made.

And btw since you are a mouthpiece for KK.... I have a very slight gear box leak at the inside of the tine shaft since brand new that my dealer (Orchlens) couldn't fix because they are not a service center.

why they sell things like this I don't know but that's beside the point)

I told them I could fix it but wasn't doing it for free I have 200 other projects at any one time so KK sent them the seals and said they would pay me $50.

I haven't had time to mess with it but what do you think about how I have been treated is that a fair deal? (my shop rate is $70 per hour so would be working at slave labor rates to fix something that imo should be under a warranty of some kind just my 2c)

KK Rep,
Thanks for joining this discussion. I have several of your products and I agree KK makes a better product than some of the others mentioned above. I plan to buy a tiller this winter, and I'm driving over an hour to get to the nearest KK dealer. It's still the best value I found. I'll put up with your 'less than great' paint job as long as the build quality is good, and I think it is.

Great to have you here. Nice to get info right from the source. I actually was under the impression KK was foreign/Chinese stuff.
