Alright, so, spill the beans - how much she cost ya? You bought it from a Ford dealership, eh?

36 w/ ttl and 3yr/36k mile warranty. Retail was 39. Got truck and warranty for 34

Thanks. I'm not shopping for this particular setup right now so just needed a price calibration. I'd say you did well overall, thats a lot of truck. Of course, now you need several thousand dollars in mods to really set it off. :p

I am a die hard Ford guy. But that being said, I have maintained a fleet of those trucks, and I would buy it, which should say a lot.

Only problems I saw, which all have problems. But these are the 6.0 problems. Replace the three way heater hose, that was a deal I plumbed with hardware store pipe. The dip stick tubes, put some tie wire where the tube is welded to the bracket, because when the weld gives, tube breaks off at the engine. That little vent door actuator on the hump in the center. When it went out, driver got hot air, passenger got AC air. I could remove actuator and clamp a pair of vise grips on it to keep them happy until I replaced it. I was replacing relays for the lights. Get the same color relays. Replace black with black, gray with gray. Few of them the gas tank vents needed to be replaced, made it hard to fill up. Really very light on the problem meter.

Those are all the problems I had on trucks that had nearly 600 grand as far as miles go. I think they are good trucks. The heater hose deal is #1 to get around. It will lose so much water so fast that it can cause catastrophic failure. That's why I made a steel pipe Y and used the same hoses. Plus, the new one is like the factory one, a one piece, three hose unit. So I'd keep the old ones and convert to a pipe Y and eventually swapped them all out. Once again, I put them in the Good Truck category.

Thanks for the advice

I would not own a GM truck from 2015-present. GM couldn't make a transmission to save their lives In that era.

I believe that was in the half ton trucks, no? 3/4-1 ton trucks use a different 6spd auto if not mistaken

Nice looking truck at what seems like a great price these days.

Thanks! Honestly the prices is what kept me shopping for so long. I went a year or two older than I wanted, but with 43k miles, it seemed to be a good buy.

That may be, but it would keep me out of any GM product. It's a shame how poor they've been for so long.

Reminds me of the Northstar engine that was a time bomb in Cadillacs for so many years. 1993-2000ish.

GM is downright shameful as a car company.

I used to like gm. They haven't gotten any of my money since 2012.

Figured I would give a review. Made a 590 mile tow today with the new truck. On flat ground, no sweat. Pulled with little to no effort (about 7k lbs total) and no suspension sag like our Yukon. See attached pics. Pulled at 72mph average, rpms stayed from 2200-3000 on steeper hills. Trans temp hit 173 at 90 degree temps, mainly stayed 160 or below. We saw 8.5 mpg. Overall very pleased. Handled the weight very well.
