Hog killing time here, choice was 22 short, didn't want to find a lead pellet in a shoulder. Neighbor's weapon of choice was, tie them up to a post real close, straddle their shoulders and thump them between the eyes with the flat end of a single bit axe, it was a comical thing to watch, corncob pipe hanging out of his mouth, and he was left handed, and they usually just collapsed in a heap, and my dad would flip the hog over and stick it in the throat and let it bleed. That was 50 some years ago, today there would be all kind of org's show up and put the whole bunch under the jail.
