Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Need snow removal help

/ Need snow removal help #111
Guys, we have not had too much snow yet, and the only storm we had, I used every one your tips and that was an invaluable help. Thank you.

Now comes another request for help. I have never used the FEL, which tips you have in how to use it for snow removal? I know how to remove the front blade and install the FEL, and also I am aware of not lifting the center of gravity too high in an inclined terrain, and that is all I know. So please do not hesitate to describe very basic operation (like move the tractor forward etc )

Than you again guys.

Terry,
I'd recommend spraying the inside of the bucket with Pam or silicone spray or some other kind of release agent. If you don't and the temperature & snow conditions are right the snow will stick inside the bucket and you will spend more time trying to empty it than you did filling it. Don't ask how I know.

Also, member Chilly807 built skids for the bottom of his bucket - for use on a gravel drive - and an expanded metal screen that bolts above the top of his bucket - prevents snow from dumping backwards onto the tractor and allows for bigger scoop loads (last post in this thread):

Hello Terry,

Use the fluid film it will last longer and coat
your metal, The WD40 displaces any moisture
but only temporarily.

if you brush it or spray the fluid film on it will
help keep the snow from sticking on the front and
rear plow.

Thanks BG, I will spread both the bucket an the blade. In reference to Chilly807 built skids looks great but... I am just learning how to start the tractor ;-) so what Chilli807 did is beyond my present skills.

Not to worry - after a few more months on TBN, and a little time reading the Build-It-Yourself forum, the gang will have you cutting & welding stuff in your sleep.
