Need some advice on a new tractor

my various needs of present along with potential future needs sometimes are one tractors strenghts' vs another tractors weaknesses, and vice versa.

I put a fair bit of emphasis on potential future uses in my decision, based partly on comments here. In hindsight I should have focused on the things I knew I was going to do in the first year; I would have bought a slightly smaller tractor with HST. Instead I have something that is perfectly adequate for running a hay baler (which I no longer plan to ever do), moving round bales (iffy), and tilling large fields (doing now, probably will do only every 3-5 years thereafter). But I am changing direction a lot - which is true for anything except doing row crops or mowing huge fields - and HST would be really nice.

if you ever decide to go get that smaller tractor with HST, and the dealer won't offer you the trade you think you deserve, let me know. i would end my tractor search RIGHT now if i could afford a 5105/5205 set up the way i want(FEL, Canopy, telescoping draft links, 4WD). having some luck finding used, but the price is almost the same and sometimes more then a new one. ill always be disking fire breaks, even more fire breaks when more trees are cut and get re-planted. that much i do know.

Well guys I tried out the z-trac 737 last night on everything I ran the finishing mower on. I got done in around 2 hrs and it cut my trimming down greatly. The grass also looked alot better so now on I will not be using the finishing mower anymore.

Thanks
Brian
