I wonder what it would cost just to pave/concrete a big apron. It's 24 feet from where the asphalt ends from the road, to the gate post in picture. Maybe come up the the entrance posts, or a little beyond?

Asphalt will require a good gravel base or it will break apart.

Prices vary of course, but around here I've had large driveway projects for about $3/sq ft. That's $2 for the concrete (6") and $1 for the labor.
