Also not sure how we are measuring the bucket. Normally it is measured in the largest direction from the outside of one end to the outside of the other end. The measurement is based on the total width of the path that the bucket would cut out if you forced it into something like a snowbank.

When I measured my bucket, it was from the outside to outside. Just as you described. Also, the curl cylinders are 40" on center.

Smoody, I'm probably wrong, but I was thinking the YM220/226 was the closest cousins to your YM2001.

I've been told that the 1820D is the closest to my 226D by a local dealer, and have read something similar here. I haven't had a close look at an 1820 so I really don't know how close it is.

I do know that if it were painted green, you would think it's a JD750.

I would think that if it were on a Kubota that the frame mount wouldn't bolt up to a Yanmar at all. Aren't those tractor specific?

Well I'm sure Hoye knows more than I do about it. I was just looking at weight and horsepower, 220/226 seemed closer, but evidently not.

One is probably as close as the other. The YM2001 does not share a common head gasket with either model. Best to just go by a Japanese parts book and word of mouth, (so to speak;)).

I am probably going to relist it on craigslist this weekend....the repairs I want to do is too much for me to pay to have done.....it is mostly labor and not parts....I am no welder so have decided to put it back up for sale...

One of the previous owners welded the pins on the bucket...there are a few other issues that need to be done as well.... ....just don't want to put a couple of hundred dollars or more into it at this point...

I have a loader on my tractor....was going to buy this....look for the right tractor and put it on to sell as a package....just not going to work out like I planned.....

Just in case someone wants it but the current loader mounts do not work....anybody with a loader mount they want to sell for probably a 226, 240, and maybe a 276 let me know....may have a buyer......

Thanks for all your help!

This might help someone fabricate a mount.

Long ago someone asked me for photos of the loader mount under my YM240. This is a real heavy Great Bend aftermarket loader, 5 ft bucket, with reinforcement bars back to the rear axle. The tractor weighs 3,000 lbs before ballast. (maybe 150 of that is the oversize rear tires). It should only weigh 1670 lbs per oem specs.
