Thanks for the info....need a bit of good news at this point....it is on my trailer at my buddys shop....I will not be back till Wednesday but will look at it then....I am thinking it is for the 336....I took a quick measurement to get an idea of the size of the cylinders and I am pretty sure they were 2" plus ........if you have more than what is in the thread above would love to see it. At this point I am collecting data.....by any chance did the 336 FEL have the 53" bucket??
Thanks!! Any help will be appreciated. I am either going to make this fel right and try to get a premium or I am going to stop where and I am try to get as much as I can of my money back......
Is it best to just go to my local hydraulics store to get the material to rebuild or anyone have a better suggestion??
Well, one bit of good news is that they are really, really good loaders. Look at the pivots, the bushings, the way the frame mounts, and the cylinder construction. Plus just how heavily built that it is. Top quality stuff. Sure it's a hassle to put it together, but welding is cheap and you will get a ton of use out of the loader.
On the cylinder size, I didn't mean to confuse things. Hydraulic systems are measured by inside bore - like an engine. It's done that way to make the hydraulic pressure and force calculations come out right.
So to give a feel for it, I did just go out and measured the OD (
outside diameter) of the cylinders on our YM336D. Cripes! It's below zero degrees! Now OD might vary with manufacturer, but normally it'll be very close to being consistent. These 2.25" lift cylinders have about a 2.625" outer diameter and a 1.5" diameter rod. The 1.75" bucket cylinders are about 2.125" OD and have a 1" OD extension rod.
Also not sure how we are measuring the bucket. Normally it is measured in the largest direction from the outside of one end to the outside of the other end. The measurement is based on the total width of the path that the bucket would cut out if you forced it into something like a snowbank. The YFL875 could be fitted with either a 48" bucket or a 60" bucket. The YFL1075 and YFL1575 only came with the 60" bucket. The measurement of the width of the arms on the YM336D's loader is 45" from the center of one arm to the center of the other. The arms themselves are 2.5" wide. So if yours is 53" wide it probably isn't for the 276 or 336....not that you wanted that anyway. Too heavy. from the photos, your bucket looks stock - though I didn't really look for welds.
Not sure what "material to rebuild" that you need from the hydraulic shop? Hoses? The cylinders probably just need the packing tightened, if that.
Hope this helps, rScotty
