I doubt it is the governor,, it is the final reduction ratio,,
You need more torque to keep the engine RPM's up,, the only way to do that is install a bigger wheel gear, or a smaller engine gear,,,
OR,,,,, wait for it,,,,
install a larger displacement engine!!:thumbsup:
Why dont you just tighten the spring, or better, change its acting position on the governor lever? ... And then be prepared to lower the gearing a smidge.While I agree that more torque is needed, it doesn稚 hit max torque until 3200 rpm. There is no way this thing is putting out anything close to that. The governor kicks in so fast it痴 ridiculous. I致e watched videos of people after bypassing the governor and it lets the rpms get up there. I don稚 want to completely bypass it bc I do want some limitation of max rpms. I just want to figure out how to adjust the spring to allow it a higher max.
Its pretty simple really.
