Would help to know what kind of vehicle these are going on or I suppose we could continue to guess. AWD, FWD, RWD? Corvette, Hyundai , Prius?

I’m not one of those people that insist on knowing your location but in this case it might help depending on how much snow you get. In my area it doesn’t make a lot of sense to get a true snow tire, we just don’t normally get a lot of snow.

From tire rack site:
Note: 3PMSF-branded (the "three peak mountain snowflake symbol) all-season and all-terrain tires cannot match the traction of dedicated winter / snow tires in all winter weather conditions and should not be considered a replacement for where and when a dedicated winter tire is needed.

The OP said he was looking for "some sort of all season tire. Good mileage would be a plus and a good snow rating also"
These are rated #1 in their category for snow and ice. Are there better snow tires out there? Yes definitely.
So in the case of "On-/Off-Road All-Terrain" tires on tirerack, these are the best for snow and ice.

All season tires are crappy in the snow I have snow tires mounted on rims and just swap them over fast and easy...

Our gov't also thinks so. (Quebec)
By law we must be shod with rated winter shoes subject to fines, and that on all 4's.
Busses and trucks are exempt, so it does not apply to the gov't.

As a result we've seen crazy pictures of busses sliding downhill sideways and snowplows in ditches.

Gentlemen thank you all for your responses. Maybe I put too much emphasis on "snow tires". I am just looking for an all around, all season tire for the wife's car which is a Toyota Avalon front wheel drive. We live East of Pittsburgh so some years we get snow and others not so much. The reason I'm done with Michelins is the wife's car has them on now and at 25,000 they're worn out. Now don't tell me she is a hot rodder because at 62 she's not. LOL. Son had Michelins and two of his tires got bulges on the side walls and had to be replaced. No more Michelins!! My brother and I both had problems with Kelly's on our pickups. No more Kelly's!! I just thought some of you may have had real good luck with a certain brand or real bad luck and you would be willing to pass that information along. So there you have it and thanks again. RRM

We put Michelins on the wife's CRV right before she traded it for an Atlas. I liked those Michelins. Made it a different car, better ride, smooth and great winter traction.

I have Coopers on my CRV and like them. Pretty good traction and quiet. Balance is crappy though.

I had some cheapo Indonesian made tires before the Coopers. They rode terrible but lasted 70k miles. Hard rubber and would slide a through a turn on wet pavement. So not a recommendation there. Had Kelly's and didn't like them either. So far my fav's are Toyo, Continentals (on my f450) and BFG's but I do feel like tire brands are like car brands, every few years the leaders change.
